The Hollandershoeve is located in the Land of the Beatitudes, or 't Zaligste stukke van Brabant. Our accommodation is located in the heart of the 'boer-gondische' Brabant and Flemish Kempen, a region teeming with cultural and recreational activities. Thanks to its location right next to nature reserve 'Beleven' (pronounced: Béle-ven), a stay at the Hollandershoeve guarantees hours of walking and cycling pleasure. From our restaurant you have direct access to an extensive network of signposted cycling routes through the Kempen heathlands, forests and villages. While cycling or walking you will discover the rural, green surroundings. Get up early and head into the heathland, who knows, you might spot one of the many deer and hares that show themselves in the early morning. From the Hollandershoeve you can also follow the Klompenpad (wooden shoe path) along the many fens and special birds that this charming nature reserve is rich. Other early birds will find their entertainment on Sunday morning in Belgium. In Turnhout and Lommel there is a large weekly flea market. Mol runs weekly for a cozy small animal market including chickens, rabbits and birds. In nearby Belgian Postel, amidst stately forests and estates, you will find an abbey still in almost original condition. In this tourist attraction you can see how the fathers live, while enjoying the abbey beer. The provincial capital of Turnhout is also highly recommended. Here you can combine a pleasant day of shopping with a visit to the historic city center. You can easily reach Turnhout by bicycle via a beautiful route through the De Liereman nature reserve. If you are interested in the historical background of the Dutch Kempen, we can recommend several regional museums. Consider the museum De Acht Zaligheden in Eersel, where you will learn all about these special village centers that all eight end in 'sel' or the War Museum in Hooge Mierde.

For a snack and a drink you can of course visit the restaurant located in our yard, you can expect pancakes, various lunch and main dishes on the menu.
